Taurus Profile

The Taurus personality is not a leader, but a builder. Once they have found a leader, they will use their persistence, patience, and independence to build upon the foundation of that leader’s inspiration and purpose. Their persistent streak is often read (correctly) as stubborn and self-indulgent.

The truth is that they can be self-indulgent and don’t require the affirmation of those around them; often, they remain distant and shy with people they don’t know well, but don’t let it fool you — the Taurus can make the fiercest and most generous of friends. If they consider you a close friend and throw a party, expect to be spoiled. However, the Taurus is very sensitive and internalizes negative comments and is easily insulted. They easily look down on others for their habits, vices, and inherent differences.

Taurus traits seem to be mutually exclusive: they are easily hurt but are patient and down to earth; they lavish affection on their close friends but are secretly stingy and judgmental; and they are difficult to motivate but when it happens, unstoppable in their persistence and drive.

Attracting a Taurus

Although the Taurus may be difficult to read, both the men and women are extremely sensitive and sensible. They crave comfort and security and have incredible patience when seeking their partners. Both will be deeply committed to their partner when they are actively seeking/in need of a relationship, and need someone who will devote themselves fully to a partnership, as the Taurus will quickly become attached. However, be aware that if you offend the Taurus or break their trust, you may not have the chance to win them back.

The Taurus women will court you as much as she expects to be courted, though perhaps less overtly. She will wait for a man who she knows will nurture and cherish their relationship as much as she does, and a major attraction to a relationship will be the security and stability she has experienced in previous relationships, whether familial, platonic, or otherwise. Show that you will give her your heart and everything else she desires and there will be no looking back.

At the same time, this romanticism and dedication belies a pragmatism uncommon with other signs. Impress her by showing off your skills in the kitchen and home office rather than the bedroom. Your ability to support your Taurus lady will wow her, whether she needs support or not. And finally, she has to enjoy being with you, so keep her happy!

Very much the same, the Taurus man seeks the same security and reliability in their partnerships as the Taurus woman. He will not provide the whirlwind romance that many women desire, but once he has chosen you, his generosity, fidelty and commitment will be second to none. Don’t be surprised if his passion in the bedroom makes you forget about the lack of variety.
